About Turtle Festival:

Velas is renowned for its Olive Ridley turtle population, attracting visitors from far and wide to witness this natural phenomenon. The villagers of Velas, in collaboration with NGOs like Sahyadri Nisarg Mitra, have initiated turtle conservation efforts, providing protection to the nesting sites. Witnessing baby turtles making their way to the sea is a truly unforgettable experience.

Pick-up Points:

• Ch. Sambhajinagar: Karnapura Ground, Near Panchwati Hotel  
• Pune: Kharadi By-Pass / Katraj / Shivaji Nagar Near Sancheti Hospital 
• Mumbai- Borivali- Sion-Chembur-Vashi-Nerul-Panvel.

Itinerary:

DAY 00: Boarding the Bus

• 06:00 PM: Night journey begins from Sambhajinagar.
• 10:00 PM: Night journey begins from Mumbai.
• 11:00 PM: Night journey begins from Pune.

DAY 01: Velas Turtule Festival

• 5:00 AM: Reach the base village, get freshened up, and take rest.
• 6:00 AM: Head out to watch turtles.
• 7:30 AM: Return to the base village and have breakfast.
• 10:00AM: Begin your journey towards Bankot Fort.
• 12:00AM: Have lunch and take some rest.
• 5:30 PM : Head out again to watch turtles and enjoy the beautiful sunset view.
• 7:30 PM: Attend a documentary session.
• 9:30 PM: Dinner time.
• 11:00 PM: Camping and Bonfire activities.

DAY 02: Harihareshwar and Srivardhan Beach

• 06:00 AM - Wake Up call & Freshen-Up
• 07:00 AM: Have breakfast and get ready. Start your journey towards Harihareshwar
• beach and temple.
• 10:00 AM: Visit Shrivardhan beach.
• 12:00 PM: Have lunch and begin your return journey.
• 11:00 PM: Reach Home..
