DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: DELHI TO SHIMLA
- Leave from Delhi by 09:30PM and reach Shimla the next morning.
Day 2: SHIMLA TO KALPA (210 Kms, 8 Hrs Drive Approx)
- A fairytale village nestled in the majestic Kinnaur Kailash Mountains of the Himalayas; Kalpa is a nature lover’s paradise.
- Boasting spectacular sights of Mount Kinnaur Kailash, Raldang,
- and Jorkanden Peaks, extensive apple orchards, sumptuous Tibetan cuisine and a mesmerizing mixture of Hinduism and Buddhism, Kalpa is one of the best places to visit in Himachal Pradesh to experience the raw and pristine charm of the Himalayas.
- Breakfast nd freshen up.
- Drive through Kufri, Narkanda along the Indo-Tibetan highway on the way to Kalpa
- Walk around the breezy terrace so overlooking the town and watch the drama in the narrow streets.
- Reach Kalpa by evening.
- Dinner and Overnight sleep at Kalpa.
Day 3: KALPA TO NAKO - SACRED LAKE OF HIMALAYA (98 Kms, 4 Hrs Drive Approx)
- The Nako lake is the main attraction of the village. It is a freshwater lake situated at an altitude of 11,893 ft.
- In the winter, the Nako Lake gets completely frozen and is sometimes used for ice skating as well.
- After early morning breakfast, well check out of our hotels and head towards nako.
- En route, we’ll be making a pit stop at Khab, which is the beautiful confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
- We’ll also be traversing through Nako Village where well visit Nako lake and the Nako Monastery.
- Upon our arrival in Nako, well check into our homestays. Dinner was followed by an overnight stay in Nako.
Day 4: KAZA - THE ULTIMATE HIMALAYAN TOWN (110 Kms, 4 Hrs Drive Approx)
- Kaza or Kaja as the locals say is the headquarters of Spiti Valley. The city is well developed with almost all infrastructural facilities, amidst dry cold deserts.
- Kaza has a lot to o er in terms of culture and belief, besides the shopping arcade, Cafés, and eating joints.
- Post breakfast, we’ll start our journey toward the headquarters of Spiti, i.e. ,Kaza.
- En route,we’llmakeapitstopatthe1021-year-oldTaboMonasteryfollowedbythe Dhankar Monastery.
- We’ll reach Kazabeforeduskfalls. Post-check-in,you’re free to explore the town.
- Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Kaza.
Note: The visit to Dhankar Monastery is subject to weather conditions.
Day 5: HAMLETS OF SPITI - KOMIK, HIKKIM, LANGZA, KAZA
- Beyond Kaza, the landscape is studded with some small settlements at a God-forbidden altitude.
- These places still bear a post o ce, a police station, a school, a primary health department, and a bus stand, functioning similarly to that in your city.
- This area has been declared a fossil spotting site, taking one back to the history of medieval times.
- These clusters are spread along the contours, with dwarfed mud structures made from the context itself.
- The first sight of these settlements from far away leaves a person speechless, and then a storyteller! These roads are sometimes visited by the big cats also known as the Himalayan Ghosts and Snow Leopards!
- Postbreakfast, forKeyMonasteryfollowedbyChichamBridge (Asia’s Highest Bridge).
- Later today, we will visit Hikkim (the highest cein the world). After that,we’llmovetowardsKomicvillage(one of the highest villages in the world, elevated at 4600 meters connected by a motorable road).
- We’llbevisitingLangzaandseeingthefamousBuddhastatue.
- Head back to Kaza. After reaching our hotel/homestay, dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Kaza.
- Note: The visit to Hikkim, Komic, and Langza is subject to weather conditions.
Day 6: KAZA TO CHITKUL (250 Kms, 8 Hrs Drive Approx)
- Chitkul - Another enchanted place in this beautiful land. Has a high-altitude river flowing right beside it.
- O are grand views of the nearby mountain peaks. It is also a starting and endpoint for multiple high-altitude treks.
- After breakfast, leave for Chitkul the last village on the old Indo-Tibetan trade route.
- Walk through the green orchards, by a brilliant stream.
- Asthedayfalls,returntoyourstayinSanglafor dinner and over night stay.
Day 7: SANGLA TO SAHARAN (80 Kms, 3 Hrs Drive Approx)
- This stands around 7100 feet above sea level and is a little hamlet that can be easily covered by foot.
- The snow-covered Shrikhand Mahadev Peak towers over it while the River Sutlej flows in the valley below Sarahan.
- This place belongs to the district of Bushehr even though it lies within the borders of Shimla.
- You can visit the famous Bhimkali Temple which is to be found here. This is one place that will leave you wanting more and one is sure to come back for a second time.

Day 8: SAHARAN TO DELHI VIA SHIMLA

- ConcludethetourasyougetdroppedatShimlaBusStopwhereyouwillbe boarding an AC Volvo Bus back to Delhi.Reached Delhi on Day 9 around 6-7 am.
