        Description:

        In the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, at a prodigious elevation of 1646 meters (5400 feet) lies the highest peak of the state: Kalsubai, also known as the â€˜Everest of Maharashtra’. Surrounded by huge mountain ranges and lush greenery, it is one of the most picturesque mountains in India, and the perfect way to take in its beauty is via a trek that goes through beautiful plateaus and forests. Nestled in the Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary, Kalsubai(besides being a mecca for trekkers, of course) is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers as well. Exploring it is a unique experience, and definitely one not to be missed.

         

        Itinerary:


         DAY 1:


        • 07:30 pm: Boarding the Bus


        Pickup Points:


        • Ch Sambhajinagar – Panchvati Hotel,Karnapura Ground
        • Pune- Sancheti Hospital and Nashik Phata
        • Mumbai- Teen Hath Naka, Thane


         DAY 2:


        • 02:30 am: We reach Bari, from where you can get a glimpse of Kalsubai Peak rest for a while, and get ready to start the trek.
        • 03:00 am: Good Morning… Breakfast and Introduction round.
        • 03:30 am: Gear up, pack your bags, and get your torches out! It is going to be a long and dark climb to the top. We will make a few halts on the way where you can grab your snack or a drink.
        • 06:00 am: We reach Kalsubai temple. Enjoy The Sunrise at the highest Peak of Maharashtra. You get a beautiful view of Bhandardara Arthur Lake from the summit.
        • 07:30 am: Start to Descend.
        • 10:30 am: Back down at the base village and Grab Lunch.
        • 12:30 pm: Start our journey back.
        • 07:00 pm: Adios! Back to the mundane city life. Until Next Time.

        Things To Carry


        • Luggage packed in a good trekking sack
        • Complete spare set of extra -clothes & socks if required
        • Water bottle (2-3liters) compulsory
        • Glucon-d energizers and-personal Medicine

        • Wear comfortable clothing during treks (full sleeves)
        • Good trekking/sports shoes (sandals, chappals, floaters not permitted)
        • Torch with Extra pair of Batteries (must) during the night trek
        • Camera, Binocular(Optional) -Identity proof (must)
        • Toiletries (Napkin, facewash, tissue paper, etc.)
        • Cap, goggles, sunscreen, moisturizer, mosquito repellent, etc.
        • Slippers (optional – at the end of the day/trek so that your feet can relax)


        Advisory


        • There is no freshen-up/ washroom facility at the top. The toilet is in the base village.
        • Avoid carrying heavy weight for the trek.
        • Do not carry valuables during the trek.
        • Avoid wearing chappals or slippers during the Jungle trek
        • Carry a camera and binoculars at personal risk.
        • Pay heed and attention to the trek guides and instructors.
        • Avoid perfume
        • Smoking and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited


        Terms and Conditions:-


        • All our bookings are on the basis of a First come First policy.
        • Bookings are non-transferable. In case of cancellation of bookings from the consumers end, no booking amount shall be refunded in any case.
        • Trek diaries reserve the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of unavoidable events (i.e. weather conditions, political conditions, or any others).
        • An original individual identification proof (Aadhar card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport must be carried by the traveler during the journey.
        • Trek diaries will not be responsible for any manmade or natural calamity. Extra expenses because of any natural calamity will be done by the consumer, not trek diaries.
        • All the sports are safe and approved by the state ministry, and activities performed will be under the guidance of highly trained professionals. However, in case of any injury or accident during the adventure sport and travel trek diaries will not be liable.
        • In case of any updates in the booking, the consumer has to give prior notice to trek diaries.
        • In case of inappropriate weather or any change in local government norms, the activities mentioned above can be scheduled or canceled without any prior notice.
        • Any mischief or inappropriate attitude will not be tolerated and Trek Diaries reserves all rights to cancel such bookings without any refund at any time in between the trip. Trek diaries can cancel the trip or individual booking without any prior notice.
